Where it started ?
Hi, this is Sabari. I'm a software engineer by profession and a writer by passion.
A few years ago, in 2019, I was inspired by the way social media impacts people and creators. To ensure that my literary works reached a wide audience, I started a YouTube channel. Through organic content, I was able to reach millions of viewers in my native language within a short span of time.
This success motivated me to apply the same logic and strategies to other social media platforms. During this time, several brands approached me for paid promotions. However, I wasn’t particularly interested in that. Instead, I enjoyed creating strategies, designing creatives, and suggesting optimization techniques for them. When these strategies proved successful, brands started giving me more projects on the same grounds. Just as I was able to connect with the right audience for my content, I was able to do the same for credible brands.
It was then that I decided to take this seriously as a profession. An amazing team was formed, a working model was established, and social media marketing became a professional business under the name APPLEBOX Stories. The fact that the same brands kept returning to us for different campaigns across different seasons reassured us that we were on the right path.

With my technical background and specialization in AI, I was able to execute these strategies at an optimized cost. From 2021 to 2023, my journey was filled with immense learning. During this period, I moved back to the United States. Although I had lived in the U.S. from 2015 to 2020, I had never imagined starting a company here—especially in the field of marketing. However, the experience I gained through Applebox deeply inspired me, leading to the creation of Lantana Socials.
I knew there would be many challenges. A new geographical location requires different strategies and a unique approach to operations. So, I began searching for a like-minded partner to collaborate with on this journey.
That’s when I was introduced to Ramya, a business intelligence analyst with over 16 years of experience in this market. She has worked extensively with IT clients like IBM, marketplace-based clients like Macy’s, and healthcare clients like [XXX].
Both of us shared a similar approach to market analytics, competitor analysis, and strategic planning. At the same time, our diverse domain expertise became our strength. This synergy marked the birth of Lantana Socials.
